about

The sophomore release by Petrochemical did something I had never expected it to do: it delved deeper into their own unique sound. I had expected them to actually branch out more, but they just took that dark element and ran with it. This makes the second release less accessible to a wider audience, but it makes it rule way harder for the true Petrochemical fans. I myself am very much in love with Blood & Metal. It is not often that a track gives me goose bumps, but this one does. This release also established the rule that an artist is no longer required to have a TOA remix on his, her or their second release.

Side-note: The wrong label design was actually printed for this record. They have the correct information on them, but a different design was intended to be used. (It all worked out in the end, because you would never have known about it if you didn’t read about it here.)
